Government Data Demands

At Dialpad we know you care about how your personal information is used and shared, and as your communications provider we zealously protect your privacy. You can learn more about the customer data that Dialpad collects and how we use it to deliver the services by reading our Privacy Policy.

In certain circumstances, Dialpad may be legally obligated to provide customer data to government agencies who request customer information through valid and enforceable legal processes (such as a subpoena, court order, or search warrant).

To protect our customers’ data and fulfill our legal obligations, Dialpad has adopted a standardized and stringent review process for all government data requests.

Who is Dialpad legally obligated to provide customer information to?

Dialpad will only respond to requests that are sent from a government agency via that agency’s official domain; are issued where Dialpad is subject to jurisdiction; have an enforceable enforceable legal process (such as a subpoena, court order, or search warrant); and state with particularity the categories of records sought and specific time period.

Will Dialpad inform me if my data is being requested by law enforcement?

It is Dialpad’s practice to notify our customer of requests unless explicitly prohibited from doing so by law. Dialpad requires that requests to delay or withold notification be accompanied by a legally-binding document (e.g., a non-disclosure order).

If I have questions about how Dialpad handles government data requests

Please direct all inquiries to legal@dialpad.com.

Please visit our Transparency Reports page for a breakdown of the government requests Dialpad received.
