Dialpad, Inc. July 16, 2025
Dialpad, Inc. (Headquarters: California, USA; Founder and CEO: Craig Walker), the leading Ai-powered communications intelligence platform, announced the launch of its advanced Ai features in the Japanese market, beginning with Ai Recaps and Ai Transcription based on the core functionality of its cloud-based business communications platform. These capabilities represent the evolution of Dialpad's Ai technology, which has been developed and refined over several years in the US market based on real-world conversations and customer feedback, marking a significant milestone in Dialpad's international expansion to bring proven Ai innovation to Japanese enterprises seeking to enhance their customer service excellence and sales team performance.

Product Features
Ai Recaps automatically generates comprehensive call summaries after each interaction, reducing post-call documentation time by 50% or more. This feature standardizes the call logging format across all agents, ensuring consistency while capturing key discussion points, action items, and customer sentiment. The summaries integrate seamlessly with CRM systems for automated record updates, further streamlining workflows and improving data accuracy.
Dialpad's Ai Transcription converts conversations to searchable text in real-time, enabling agents to focus entirely on customer interactions without the distraction of manual note-taking. Supervisors gain the ability to monitor call quality as it happens without interrupting the conversation, while all interactions become instantly searchable for compliance and training purposes. The technology also identifies keywords and trends across customer interactions, providing valuable insights for business improvement.
In addition to the Ai features, Dialpad will be launching its award-winning Dialpad Meetings product and native e-fax capabilities for Japanese customers this year. Dialpad Meetings offers a reliable, user-friendly video conferencing experience that integrates seamlessly with the rest of the Dialpad platform. E-fax functionality allows businesses to send and receive faxes directly within the Dialpad application, with managers able to assign and track shared-line faxes to ensure proper ownership and prompt response times.
Proven Results from Early Adopters
Dialpad’s Early Adopter Program (EAP) gathered feedback from 60+ participating companies, confirming that Ai Recaps delivers exceptional value through significant time savings and improved documentation consistency.
“Dialpad’s Ai has fundamentally changed how our teams operate,” said a manager at one early adopter company. “Our call logging time has been cut by more than half from 10 minutes to just 5 minutes per call, while quality assurance has become proactive rather than reactive. Most importantly, we can now analyze customer conversations to uncover strategic insights - from tracking product launch responses to identifying seasonal trends in the Japanese market.”
"Japan has always been at the forefront of technological innovation and customer service excellence, making it the ideal market for Dialpad's proven Ai capabilities,” said Craig Walker, founder and CEO of Dialpad. “We've refined our Ai technology to deliver real-time, actionable insights to businesses across all industries, and now we're excited to bring that expertise to Japanese enterprises. This isn't just about expanding our footprint. It's about empowering Japanese businesses with the same transformative Ai tools that have helped our customers reduce call handling time by 20% and dramatically improve their customer experiences. We see tremendous opportunity to partner with Japanese companies who share our vision of using Ai not to replace human connections, but to enhance them, creating more meaningful and productive customer interactions."
“We're thrilled to see the launch of Dialpad Ai and excited about the new possibilities as legacy phone systems shift to the cloud,” said Yasuaki Miyamoto, VP, Enterprise Product at SoftBank Corp. “With the upcoming release of Internet FAX and Dialpad Meetings, a complete UCaaS and CCaaS solution is now ready for businesses of all sizes and industries. Together with Dialpad, we look forward to delivering this amazing value to customers across Japan.”
Availability and Pricing
Dialpad's Ai features are available at no additional cost for a limited time through the company's EAP, with general availability in Japan planned for the second half of 2025. Pricing details will be announced closer to the general availability launch. Dialpad will continue rolling out additional Ai-powered features throughout 2025, including enhanced automation capabilities, expanded platform integrations, and new collaboration tools specifically tailored for Japanese business needs.
Dialpad Meetings will enter public beta, with availability to all UCaaS and CCaaS users starting in August, and Dialpad’s fax offering for Japanese customers will launch officially in August.
