Dialpad Presence—also called status—is an automatic function that lets team members within your organization know whether a user is available or busy, based on whether or not they’re on a call or in an UberConference meeting. G Suite users have the added functionality of automatically having their status set to busy when time is booked within their calendars.


Presence indicates employee availability within Dialpad. A status indicator lets others know whether you’re not to be disturbed, on a call, in a meeting, or available to talk.

Can status be controlled manually?

For the most part, status is entirely automatic and based on whether the user is on a call, in an UberConference meeting, or in the case of G Suite users, in a booked meeting. However, you can set the Do Not Disturb function manually.

Does status instantly when an UberConference meeting or a call concludes?

Yes. Status immediately goes back to available. Does status change after hours? No. Status will state that a user is available after hours (but that doesn’t mean they’ll answer calls or messages).

Does Status work across all devices?

Yes. Your status will change regardless of what device you’re having your call or meeting on.

If a user is showing as available, does that mean they can chat?

Usually, yes. It means that they’re not busy on a call or a meeting, so the likelihood of receiving a response is higher.

Does the Microsoft Office 365 integration offer calendar and status syncing?

Unfortunately, that functionality is only available to G Suite users at this time.

How do I set my Do Not Disturb status?
