Interview Process

1 Exploratory Call
The first stage of our interviewing flow is a call with a recruiter. Beforehand, we share several resources to help you prepare, including an overview of our product, an introduction to our values, and resources that show what it’s like to work here. We also are keen to hear from you on the expectations from the company, team, and what it would be like to take on the role remotely.

2 Hiring Manager Screen
If you're an aspiring candidate, you'll take part in a coding interview on Code pair via UberConference and also, you'll virtually meet with your hiring manager to know more on the role front.

3 Onsite Interview
Since our inception on redefining our interview process, the first question we asked ourselves was: “How do we give a seamless virtual interview experience?” They virtually get to meet hiring managers and other team members, and they can also complete exercises through uberconference online.

4 Agility & Adaptability
These are trying times for everyone. We can schedule interviews over multiple days and will do our best to accommodate your life at home.

Pre-onboarding and onboarding

The People Experience Team steps in to help guide you through the necessary steps leading up to your first day. We know that starting a new role can be both exciting and overwhelming, so it is our first goal to make this transition a smooth one. You’ll receive an email from our people experience team with all the necessary information you will need to know before your official start. Some of them include working from home tips. As Dialers we believe in providing memorable experiences that focus on positive new beginnings and to celebrate your new beginning, an Awesome bag of welcome goodies, treats will get delivered straight to your door, which will be in time for your virtual morning tea with your team.

We will send you a full rundown of what to expect from each day of your first week.

Day 1 We would love to know more about you

A sneak peek into our fantastic culture, values and how we live those values as passionate dialers, One of the most unique areas we will also focus on is our “Leadership Journey, You'll then spend much of the afternoon with your manager, getting connected to the right Dialpad channels and getting to know each other and your new team.You'll take some time to set up your laptop and gain access to Dialpad’s systems and communication platforms.. The People experience team, your buddy, and your Manager will help you to answer all your questions and make your Day 1 a memorable one.

Day 2 Dialpad Products and Communication Platforms

On day two you will attend a Virtual Orientation Session. You'll be introduced to Dialpad’s products and communication platforms and continue working through self-paced onboarding activities. We've condensed these sessions as self guided sessions so you could watch them at your pace, and some sessions that our people experience team will guide you through, you'll also have a check-in with your manager and make sure you're set up for the rest of the week.

Day 3-5 Connects/Virtual Get together/Self Guided Resources

Over the final three days of the first week, you're assigned a collection of self-guided resources to work through on your own time, but this time is also about getting to know your new teammates. Hiring managers facilitate introductions, help set up one-on-ones, and plan social activities like virtual get-togethers. Our people experience team will also host office hours and check in’s that will help answer all your questions that you might have. We have got you covered with all that you need to kick start your exciting career journey with us.

Remote working

We value employee wellness, flexibility, productivity, work/life balance, and understand there are instances where time might be better spent working at home rather than commuting into the office. Remote working comes with holding yourself accountable at work, being available, keep your calendar current, over communicate and “DO THE RIGHT THING”. But while digital solutions help, they can’t replace relationships. Each new Dialer is assigned a “buddy,” to help them navigate their new roles, and one who’s usually outside their team and who they can go to with questions about all things about Dialpad.

“Staying Connected” is the mantra we swear by and we strive to create a workplace that is engaging, productive, and fun to be, at the same time. We leave no stone unturned in our quest to celebrate success and we truly believe that the enthusiasm we bring into our celebration brings us closer and unites us even more. There are celebrations during office hours, outside office hours also over the weekends, and there are occasions when we invite our families to join in the fun!
